In had a chance to meet VJ Juladi when I performed at Sonic Dreams in Waterford recently. She works with a very simple idea. A cheap webcam feeds a signal info some basic VJ software, that she leaves on a simple kaleidoscope setting.
She wears gloves and manipulates coloured paper, bits of plants, coloured gels... all sorts of things. Here's some photos I took of her setup.
The results are always changing. Something abstract and compelling derives from simple materials.
